Monday Night Under-1600 Underway

Twenty-three players entered the August running of the Marshall's Monday Night Under-1600 Swiss. The first round featured one upset win (James Black defeated Peter Laico, a 342-point upset) and one upset draw (Daniel Feinberg drew Adam Cooper, 419 points above his rating).

If you're a USCF member rated under 1600, you can still enter the tournament. Rounds are each week at 7 PM (come early if you're entering) and the time limit is 30 moves in 90 minutes followed by 60-minute sudden death. Come on--wouldn't you like to look forward to Mondays for a change?
