Shawn Swindell scored a perfect 4-0 to win the New York Under 1800 event at the Marshall on Sunday February 8. The victory earned him $136. A half-point back, Jonathan and Miguel Garcia shared second and third prizes ($89 each).
Fourth place was a huge tie: Alan Zhang, Kyle Moon, James Black, Gordon Yang, and Rashawn Williams all scored 3 points and won $9. Tae Kim and Alexander Crump split the under-1400 prize ($39 each) with 2.5 points.
Steve Immitt directed 31 players and one re-entrant zombie. The USCF has the full crosstable.
